Pace-Grandom, a market leading retail distributor of electrical accessories and lighting, was acquired

Tedelex Trading (Pty) Ltd was acquired as a subsidiary of Amalgamated Appliance Holdings Limited, bringing the Santronics and Empisal brands with it
Salton Inc. acquired a stake in Amalgamated Appliance Holdings Limited
Acquired licences for Sansui, Pioneer, Toshiba, and Brother
2004
Tedelex acquired the Russell Hobbs and George Foreman licences, moved into the electrical accessories market
2005
Salton sold its 52.6% stake, and Steinhoff International acquired a 25.1% stake in Amalgamated Appliance Holdings Limited
2008
New management team undertook and successfully completed comprehensive restructuring process
Alan Coward (CEO) was appointed to the board in Feb 2008, Des Oliver (MD) in July 2008 and Murray Crow (MD) in December 2008
2009
The Bidvest Group acquired a 27.6% stake in Amalgamated Appliance Holdings Limited from Steinhoff International
2009-2011
Remington: Acquired the South African licence for Remington, the global leader and innovator of affordable hair dryers, flat irons/straighteners, electric shavers and other personal care products.

Exited the television business early 2010 – Tellumat took over the manufacturing facility from June 2010

Glass Touch Range: Russell Hobbs Glass Touch range brought to South Africa. This range encompasses the use of innovative touch control technology with a cool blue control panel display. Setting new standards in technology.

ArtiFarti Range: Artifarti is born. This range is designed and developed by Home of Living Brands for the South African market to bring a new crockery range for style-conscious and trendy consumers.
